Leading Analyst Firm Rates Norkom’s Solutions for Enterprise Fraud Management ‘Excellent’ in New Research Report

Dublin, Ireland and Boston - 1 October 2008.  Norkom Technologies today announced that Gartner, Inc. has rated Norkom’s Enterprise Fraud Management (EFM) capabilities “Excellent” in its August 2008 report, Critical Capabilities for Enterprise Fraud Management Tools. The report is available, compliments of Norkom, at http://www.norkom.com/contentmgr/showdetails.php/id/1207 .

Authored by Gartner’s Avivah Litan, the report compares EFM vendors across a range of critical capabilities. It assigns an overall product viability rating by evaluating those capabilities against the use cases of Employee Monitoring, Account Monitoring and Umbrella Fraud Management.

In the report’s Recommendations section, Litan states “If you can't achieve an enterprisewide strategy and architecture, then focus on meeting the needs of your immediate use cases, but keep an eye on integrating results from disparate systems into an umbrella fraud management system that provides analytics and case management.”

“We’re delighted that Gartner has rated our company and its capabilities in enterprise fraud management as ‘Excellent’” said Norkom Chief Executive Officer Paul Kerley. “In our opinion, this evaluation supports our confidence that Norkom’s technology and market strategy - to create a software suite aimed at preventing multiple types of financial crime, for today and tomorrow - are perfectly aligned with needs and expectations of the market.

Norkom’s fraud management solutions form part of its fully integrated financial crime software suite. This umbrella management system is underpinned by a common technology platform that enables clients to detect multiple types of financial crime – from money laundering to all types of fraud.
