Dublin, Ireland and Baku, Azerbaijan, 24 June 2010. Bank Standard, the largest private bank in Azerbaijan and CR2, a leading provider of multichannel banking software solutions, have announced that the bank has selected CR2’s BankWorld platform to drive its entire self service channel network including ATM, Internet and Mobile.

Bank Standard was looking for a powerful front end solution to manage its entire self service channels and support its future development. The bank aims to grow its assets and loans by 35-40 per cent and increase its presence across Azerbaijan. Following a study on branch performance, the bank decided to focus on reducing their operational costs by migrating low value transactions from the branch to the self service channels while increasing customer satisfaction by broadening their range of products and services for specific customer segments. CR2's BankWorld solution was a natural choice as it provides banks with the ability to deliver personalised products and services as well as targeted messages to each customer or customer segment across all channels depending on that customer's unique individual profile. The bank staff is able to have a unique view of all customer’s interaction across all channels therefore selling to the customer better. Bank Standard has also selected CardWorld to empower its card production and become EMV compliant.

Commenting on the agreement, Salim Kriman, Chairman, Bank Standard, says: “BankWorld’s clear leadership in the multichannel space makes CR2 the perfect partner to assist us in developing our self service strategy. BankWorld will act as a powerful front end to our Temenos back office system”

"We welcome Bank Standard, our first customer in Azerbaijan; the signing of this agreement is the latest of a number of significant wins in the region for CR2 over the past years. CR2 are delighted to partner with such an ambitious and innovative bank" said Martin Dolan, CEO, CR2.
